Hejőcsaba Cement Plant
1890 Adolf Weiskopf entrepreneur opened a quarry on the territory of the Görömböly-Tapolca Abbacy. With this he grounded the future of cement production.
1953 clinker burning with shaft-furnace started.
1961 production of pozzolana cement started.
1971-1975 building of a new, modern plant.
1975 new cement plant with the capacity of 4000 tons of clinker and 5000 tons of cement started its operation.
1989 privatization of the cement plant in Miskolc.

Lábatlan Cement Plant
1868 Balázs Konkoly-Thege, a land-owner in Komárom, founded the ancestor of the cement plant.
1903-1906 building of the first and the second rotator furnace
1914-1945 production of portlandcement starts, as first in Hungary, in the beginning with dry procedure.
1949 Lábatlani Cement- és Mészművek Rt. was formed.
1952-1964 reconstruction of large dimensions was realized.
1990 privatization of the cement plant, and founding of Lábatlani Cementipari Kft. with the interests of Holderbank

Past of the concrete and aggregates segment
1990 predecessor in title of Holcim, called Holderbank AG, founded the predecessors in title of our company in the period of privatizations.
1998 Transbeton Kavicstermelő és Betonelőállító Rt. was established, (its short name was: Transbeton Rt.) with the joining of the predecessors in title: the Transbeton Kft., specialized for concrete production and the Fóka Rt., specialized for aggregates’ extraction.
2001 According to a decision of the owner the Transbeton Rt. was integrated also in image to the group, and continued to operate under the name Holcim, as Holcim Beton Rt.

Merger
2000 The two cement plants merged and took the name Holcim in 2001.
2005 Holcim Beton Rt. was integrated into Holcim Hungária Rt.
From 1. January 2006. Holcim Hungária Rt. operates as Zrt. its Hungarian full name is: Holcim Hungária Zártkörűen Működő Cementipari Részvénytársaság, in short: Holcim Hungária Zrt.
July 2007 Pannonbeton Kft. has been integrated into our company.
