Holcim is one of the world's leading producers of cement and aggregates. Our vision is to provide foundations for society's future. The Holcim Hungária Home Foundation established in 2004 follows this philosophy, which supports underprivileged people to find new homes with 100 million HUF in every tender cycle. The tender is called for local municipalities and local governmental institutions.
Local governments can submit a tender to raise the ratio of their affordable houses in the value of maximum 50 million HUF, but maximum the 50% of the whole cost of the project. The Foundation also waits for the local governmental institutions’ tenders, which are to reconstruct buildings that do not have housing function.
The Foundation has supported 31 local municipalities and local governmental institutions with 400 million HUF to build almost 130 new homes for underprivileged people in the 4 years that has spent from its establishment.
